MD Vehicle Inspections

Germantown, Maryland State Vehicle Inspection Station

We Provide Inspections For Maryland Cars, Motorcycles and Trailers Up To 20ft.

If you’re in the Germantown or surrounding area, and you need to pass your Maryland state vehicle safety inspection, you need to go to a mechanic that you can trust. In many cases, this simply means keeping up with routine maintenance such as regular oil changes and tune ups when you need them over the years. Having your mechanic check over your car is just one of the many ways to ensure that you are doing the best for your vehicle in the long run making passing a safety inspection a breeze when the time comes.

Not only are we a Maryland inspection location that provides MD state inspection for cars but we also do complete inspections for motorcycles and trailers up to 20ft. Before you can sell or transfer your vehicle to another owner, have one of our trained technicians check over your car for your Maryland state inspection, where we will provide you with an unbiased inspection of your car, motorcycle or trailers up to 20ft. If anything is found to be wrong with your vehicle and prohibiting you from passing inspection, you can be sure that even your older model car will pass with flying colors once we fix those concerns or you have them addressed by a mechanic of your preference.

While they may seem like a pain, these MD vehicle safety inspections (according to the Maryland Department of Motor Vehicle Administration) are very important to the wellbeing of your car and the safety of others around you on the road. If your car is not meeting safety standards, it’s not running like it should be. This could be costing you money, possibly leading towards your vehicle breaking down, and could result in an inspection failure. Finding out about these problems (with regular maintenance) before they become a larger concern can save you money in the long run and result in your vehicle passing MD State Vehicle Inspections.

Safety inspections help keep you and your family safe and in compliance with Maryland law. Each and every test has the potential to bring to light a safety concern with your vehicle that could potentially cause harm to yourself or someone else on the road had it not been caught by the state inspection. The Maryland State Vehicle Inspection list for a car includes reviewing everything from the steering system, suspension and wheel alignment, to the wipers, door handle latches, driver seat and much more. If you need your Trailer inspected it’s required we review everything from the hitch to the rear wheel flaps. As for Maryland State Motorcycle inspections, it’s pretty much the same as the car inspection minus the obvious missing elements that can’t be inspected such as trunks, doors etc.

If your vehicle fails to meet even one safety standard, the State of Maryland and our shop is not able to issue the Maryland Inspection Certificate. The problem identified on the station’s inspection report must be fixed yourself or by any mechanic and then re-inspected. If the vehicle is re-inspected within 30 days after the original date of inspection and the vehicle has been driven less than 1000 miles since the last inception the inspection station will only need to inspect the defective equipment identified during the initial inspection.

When we are going through your vehicle to make sure it will pass the tests, we will also make sure it is running at the highest level of efficiency possible. When your car is more efficient it is more likely to pass the MD Safety Inspection.
